Should I find something more
than a number—
a name that might have been;
a word that might remain
once the name has left a scar—
I will whisper it
to a world that will not listen.
A world worn out by words.
I will repeat it for this brevity
the damned call eternity.
I will give it life.
If you encounter a man
wearing no shoes
- six dollars a piece
- ten dollars a pair
Something is falling.
