the language of this place
this wide night the weather moves around you
like music moments like this
never announce themselves
you have learned the language of this place
where the light tempts the darkness every day
still arrives at your window
here where the smell of the sea is in your hair
the sun is soft in the mornings
like a poem left out in the rain
