For You
You say
I don’t
write about
you
enough.
Your beautiful,
burgundy
birthmarks
shaped like clouds
floating
on your arm.
Or your silky,
black hair
that dances
and shakes
like Shakira.
Or your smooth,
caramel-colored
skin
and decadent,
hazelnut eyes
that twirl
like a creamy
cup of coffee.
Or your
drum-beating
heart
that rattles
my soul
like an earthquake
out of its body
laid bare
on this page
for you.
