Fleeting Dusk
sky is washed in tangerine and pale blue
silver shrouds swirl
country roads and cathedral pines
shimmer in shadows
a butter-colored lamp glows
from a hill
but all too soon
they’re consumed by gray
why do things disappear so fast?
