New Poetry by Kitty Jospé

Half a Pearl at Dawn on a Skycanvas Primed Dusky Blue

A few days ago, it was the new moon
in the old moon’s arms… &

today, it is a perfect semi-circle,
halved and waiting &

depending on your mood, you might
say, cut-skull shell &

start to paint what might be eclipsed
both in its prime &

worse, as in these days, &
mystère & boule de gomme —

regardless, remember you have
the option  to create the other half.
